Bar Bulot is a small well run populare venue. Definitely a must try whilst you are in Gothenburg. The menu is well prepared with an excellent variety and staff that are attentive to assist you in recommending popular dishes. We were lucky to get a seat for lunch and then the place was full with lots of people waiting for seat. The kitchen was in front of us and we could see every dish being prepared while we waited. The pairings of Sake and wine went excellently with the dishes we ate. The beef tartar was incredible and we enjoyed it slowly with every melting piece. The pike perch special went very well the recommded Sake and took us straight back to Japan! If we are back in Gothenburg we will be back here!

Went at a less busy time (Tuesday at 15:00) and had a great experience. The waitstaff was very informative and helpful at giving recommendations. The bluefin tuna with soy-cured egg yolk was delicious despite the fact that the crispy rice was missing. The smoked herring omelette with gruyère was texturally balanced, between the creamy egg and the chewy fish. All of the toppings belonged in the dish flavor-wise, not just for presentation. Overall super tasty food, fresh fish, good vibe, and fair prices!

Great spot for fresh, interesting food and the low-key star, sneaky great wine list. Worth a detour.
