From the second we arrived, the huskies were already singing, that electric, joyful chaos before a run that you can’t fake and won’t forget. Our guide Donald was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly adores these dogs like family; you could feel the trust between him and the team with every command. Gliding through silent, snow-laced wilderness behind a team of huskies pulling with pure heart, it’s primal and peaceful all at once. And then the fika. Hot drinks, something sweet, huddled together in that crisp Arctic air after the run, it wasn’t just a break, it was the perfect quiet exclamation point on the whole experience. Everything about this tour was beautiful: the dogs, the landscape, Donald’s care and expertise, right down to the smallest details. If you’re anywhere near Lapland, don’t just see the wilderness, run through it with a team of huskies who live for it. Cannot recommend Aurora Borealis Adventures highly enough.
