So happy we found this club in our area. We had been wanting to put our kids into jiujutsu since a while but couldn’t get the logistic around it to work. The club is very inclusive and have fantastic trainers- Jessi and Lucas- that provide not only professional teaching but also a sense of belonging and a relaxed yet respectful atmosphere. On top of it they are very into hygiene and the mat are constantly being cleaned which we very much appreciate. Thank you Lucas and Jessi!

Coach Lucas är grym!! Första gången med jiu jitsu för mig och man märkte direkt hur mycket erfarenhet han har, lärde mig lite baskunskap och fick mig att känna bekväm. Och vilket träningspass!!

My interest in this club began after I saw a Brazilian competitor effortlessly dominate the Swedish championship, showcasing beautiful technique. I couldn’t believe someone could perform at that level against top Swedish competitors—it was incredibly impressive. Intrigued, I looked him up and discovered he was a black belt under the Mendes Brothers at Art of Jiu Jitsu, and that he had recently opened his own academy in Sweden. The very next day, I went to Aura Jiu Jitsu just to watch. During the first half of the class, they practiced a knee-slice pass with detailed instruction, and a few students were asked to demonstrate it in front of everyone. The second half of the session was devoted to sparring. I was struck by the well-thought-out methodology—almost scientific in its approach—that I hadn’t encountered before. I signed up immediately and started attending almost every class. I began as a white belt and entered my first competition under Aura Jiu Jitsu after only 20 days. Although I lost in the finals, it was just the beginning. I remember my instructor telling me that the loss itself didn’t matter; what truly mattered was the technique I displayed. After that, I began attending early-morning competition classes, and it was during those grueling training sessions that I discovered an inner fire I never knew I had. Fast forward a year, and I’m now a blue belt under Professor Lucas. I recently won my first blue belt tournament in the open class, defeating opponents who were heavier and had been training longer than I had. Throughout this journey, I’ve found a strong sense of belonging, lost fat, gained muscle, and experienced a significant boost in confidence, knowing I can hold my own against top competitors. In addition to high-level training, I really appreciate the cleanliness and focus on hygiene at Aura. While on holiday, I trained at a few other Swedish clubs where the mats were quite old and felt hard on the body. At some of these places, wearing a rashguard wasn’t required, so I ended up with someone’s hairy armpit in my face—and people were rolling shirtless on sweaty mats. It wasn’t pleasant. At Aura Jiu Jitsu, however, everyone wears rashguards, and the mats are soft, white, and new. Everyone also wears fresh white gis, which keeps things looking and feeling clean. The overall atmosphere is bright, hygienic, and welcoming—something you really notice as soon as you step in. If you value professional-level instruction in a spotless environment, I highly recommend Aura Jiu Jitsu.
