An incredible combination of location, accommodation and service. I would highly recommend Arctic Retreat to anyone visiting this part of Sweden.

Great people, beautiful location - great food, great service. Cabins were ok. We booked all 3 cabins for our family. The cabin alongside the river was a little stuffy (one of our kids tried spending a night there and got little to no sleep - we moved him to another cabin the following morning). It is possible in winter months, opening the window would let in a nice breeze; in the summer months that was impossible with the sheer number of mosquitos. The other two cabins - sun and wind - have the primary (couples) beds upstairs in the loft; with low ceilings to get in and out of the loft - we had to bend over quite a bit each time climbing in and out (and still managed to hit our head several times). Note, if you’re a couple looking to stay in the loft, one side is noticeably lower ceilings; and there’s a charging port on one but not the other side. I just used my portable battery pack to charge my phone each night. But then had to make it a point to recharge my battery pack during the day. Bathrooms are downstairs so getting up in the night to go to the bathroom was not very convenient (read: more head bonks on the ceiling). All that said, Josephine, Emmanuel, Yvonne, Graham are absolutely amazing.

We stayed at a cabin with its own outdoor jacuzzi, it was spectacular. The cabin was very comfortable, cozy (with a fireplace), and warm. Definitely wish we could have stayed longer. The service was amazing, you could talk to the chef and listen to his stories, the food was delicious and just the kind you want for a snowy night in the woods. Breakfast was great too, and the service throughout our stay was fantastic and personalized. Thanks for everything!
